I was born and raised near the Droop Mt Battlefield.I have lots of info on that battle. also some relatives who fought there.

The battle of Droop Mtn. was a disaster for the Confederates of the northern Greenbrier Valley.
From there, the Yankees then took Lewisburg, but were unable to move east to White Sul. Spgs. since the Confederates burned the bridge over the Greenbrier River at Caldwell. Luckily, the Confederate's well-hidden saltpeter mine at Organ Cave was never discovered across the River.

i have a great great grandfather albinus lambert born 1842 died nov 6 1863 at droops mtn but when i went to droops mtn last week the park supt didnt have any record of that. albinus's mother and father were john  lambert and his mother was hannah cassell. my name is ty baltimore my mother was goldie collins her mother was lillie collins her mother was elizabeth ann lambert her father was albinus lambert who was from north fork pendleton county west virginia if you have any information let me know thanks ty
