ABOUT THIS SITE

This web site is maintained for those who have an interest in the history and heritage of the 7th West Virginia Cavalry, a Union Army regiment which fought in the U.S. Civil War, 1861-1865. Please note that this is not a re-enactment group.

Please direct your comments and questions to Steve Cunningham [steve@wvcivilwar.com], the webmaster of this site. Mr. Cunningham is currently doing research for a comprehensive history of the regiment for publication. Descendants and others are encouraged to submit photographs, diaries, pension papers, and other documents relating to soldiers of the regiment.

Descendants are also encouraged to interactively participate by posting information and questions to the site's Message Board.

A newsletter is periodically distributed via email which includes information on updates to the site, as well as other stories and information of interest to descendants.
